Currently, Dr. Di Cosmo has significant professional experience as a specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology. Since 1982, he has been employed at the R.C.C.C.S. Institute for Children in Trieste, in the orthopaedic and traumatology division. From 2008 to 2018, he served as the orthopaedic medical director at the Santa Maria degli Angeli Hospital in Pordenone. He has also taught orthopaedics, pathophysiology, and anatomical physiology at the Childcare Assistant School of the Institute for Children in Trieste. Additionally, he is a contracted professor of traumatology at the School of Sports Medicine at the University of Trieste. He has held numerous positions in the Red Cross, served as a regional councillor for the Italian Society of Emergency Medicine, and has been awarded the Silver Medal for Merit from the Italian Red Cross for his activities in Iraq.
After obtaining numerous medical specialisations, including in orthopaedics and traumatology, Dr. Di Cosmo from Pordenone has continued his training to ensure ever-improving medical services for his patients. In particular, he completed a university course in Civil Protection Health Techniques in 2003 and 2005; participated in the A.T.L.S. (American Trauma Life Support) course in 2004 and 2008; and obtained the qualification of Certified Advisor in International Humanitarian Law in Marina di Massa in 2007.
